Easy Crochet Spiral Doily

I crocheted my Easy Crochet Spiral Doily with cotton thread size 5 and a 2 mm crochet hook. It measures almost 17 cm (6,7 inches) in diameter.

Instructions

Make a magic ring.

  • Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 23 dc in the ring, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
  • Round 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1 sp), (dc in next dc, ch 1) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch4.
  • Round 3: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same ch-1 sp, 2 dc in each ch-1 sp around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
  • Round 4: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, (ch 5, skip next dc, sc in next dc) 23 times, ch 2 and dc in first sc to create the last sp of the round.
  • Round 5: Ch 1, sc in same sp, * (ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp) 3 times, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc), sc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 6: Sl st in next 2 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * (ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp) twice, ch 5, sc in next ch-1 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc), sc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 7: Sl st in next 2 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * (ch 6, sc in next ch-5 sp) twice, ch 6, sc in next ch-1 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), sc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 8: Sl st in next 3 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 6, sc in next ch-6 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), sc in next ch-6 sp, ch 6, sc in next ch-2 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), sc in next ch-6 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 9: Sl st in next 3 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 7, sc in next ch-2 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc), sc in next ch-6 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 10: Sl st in next 3 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 7, sc in next ch-3 sp, in next sc work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc), sc in next ch-7 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 11: Sl st in next 3 chains, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 7, sc in next ch-3 sp, in next sc work (4 tr, ch 5, sl st in top of last tr, 4 tr), sc in next ch-7 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
