I crocheted Lace Round Doily with cotton thread DMC Babylo size 10 and a 2 mm crochet hook. Its size (unblocked) is 17,5 cm (about 7 inches) in diameter. I didn’t block my doily, but you certainly could block yours.
Besides your chosen thread and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.
- Round 1:Ch 6 (counts as dc and ch-3 sp), (dc in the ring, ch 3) 7 times, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch6.
- Round 2:Sl st in ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, (3 dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 3:Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, (dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 4:Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 7, (dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 7) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 5:Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 4 dc, ch 5, sc in ch-7 sp, (ch 5, dc in next 5 dc, ch 5, sc in next ch-7 sp) around, ch 2 and dc in 3rd ch of first ch3 to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
- Round 6:Ch 1, sc in same sp, ch 11, sc in next ch-5 sp, (ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 11, sc in next ch-5 sp) around, ch 2 and dc in first sc to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
- Round 7:Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same sp, * ch 4, in ch-11 sp work [(sc, ch 4) 4 times, sc], ch 4 **, 2 dc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * around ending last repeat at **, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 8:Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1 sp), dc in next dc, * ch 5, sc in next ch-4 sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch-4 sp) 3 times, ch 5 **, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; repeat from * around ending last repeat at **, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch4.
- Round 9:Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same stitch, * 2 dc in ch-1 sp, 2 dc in next dc, ch 5, sc in ch-3 sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp) twice, ch 5 ** , 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around ending last repeat at **, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
