I made my Elegant Round Motif with cotton thread and a 1,25 mm crochet hook and its final size is 9 cm (3,5 inches) in diameter.
Besides your chosen thread and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.
- Round 1:Ch 3 (counts as dc), 23 dc in the ring, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 2:Ch 1, sc in same stitch, ch 5, skip next 2 dc, (sc in next dc, ch 5, skip next 2 dc) around, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 3:Sl st in next 2 stitches, ch 1, sc in same ch-5 sp, ch 7, (sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 7) around, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 4:Sl st in next 2 stitches, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 5, sc in same sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-7 sp; repeat from * around omitting last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 5:Sl st in ch-5 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), in same sp work 10 dc, * sc in next ch-5 sp, in next ch-5 sp work 11 dc; repeat from * around, sc in next ch-5 sp, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 6:Sl st in next 2 stitches, ch 1, sc in next dc, * ch 5, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc, ch 7, sc in 4th dc of next shell; repeat from * around omitting last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 7:Sl st in ch-5 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), in same sp work 10 dc, * sc in next ch-7 sp, ch 5, sc in same sp **, in next ch-5 sp work 11 dc; repeat from * around, end last repeat at **, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 8:Sl st in next 2 stitches, ch 1, sc in next dc, * ch 5, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc, ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in same sp, ch 5, sc in 4th dc of next shell; repeat from * around omitting last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 9:Sl st in ch-5 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), in same sp work 10 dc, * sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in same sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp **, in next ch-5 sp work 11 dc; repeat from * around, end last repeat at **, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
