Pretty Pinwheel Doily

I crocheted my Pretty Pinwheel Doily with cotton thread size 5 and a 2 mm crochet hook. Its size is 20 cm (about 8 inches) in diameter.
Besides your chosen thread and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.

  • Round 1:Ch 1, sc in the ring, (ch 5, sc in the ring) 6 times, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, ch 2 and dc in first sc to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
  • Round 2:Ch 1, sc in same sp, (ch 5, sc in next sp) 6 times, ch 5, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 3:(Ch 5, 3 sc in next sp) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 4:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 2 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 5:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 3 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 6:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 4 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 7:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 5 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 8:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 6 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 9:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 7 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 10:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 8 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 11:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 9 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 12:(Ch 5, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 10 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 13:(Ch 6, 2 sc in next sp, sc in next 11 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 14:(Ch 6, sc in next ch-6 sp, ch 6, skip next sc, sc in next 11 sc) 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 15:* (Ch 4, dc in next ch-6 sp) twice, ch 4, skip next sc, sc in next 9 sc; repeat from * 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 16:* (Ch 3, dc in next ch-4 sp) twice, ch 3, dc in same ch-4 sp, ch 3, dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next 7 sc; repeat from * 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 17:* (Ch 3, dc in next ch-3 sp) 3 times, ch 3, dc in same sp, (ch 3, dc in next sp) twice, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next 5 sc; repeat from * 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 18:* (Ch 3, dc in next ch-3 sp) 4 times, ch 3, dc in same ch-3 sp, (ch 3, dc in next ch-3 sp) 3 times, ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next 3 sc; repeat from * 7 times, do not join.
  • Round 19:* 4 sc in next ch-3 sp, [in next ch-3 sp work (2 sc, ch 4, 2 sc)] 7 times, 4 sc in next ch-3 sp, skip next sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
