Delicate Crocheted Heart

With this free crochet pattern you will learn how to crochet a heart in no time at all. The beautiful Delicate Crocheted Heart starts with a magic ring and is worked in three rounds. You can choose any kind of yarn in any weight you like. Just to give you an idea of the size, with cotton thread size 10 and a 2 mm crochet hook, the heart is going to be about 5,5 by 5,5 cm (2,16 by 2,16 inches).
You will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.

  • Round 1:Ch 3, 21 tr, ch 3, sl st in the ring, pull the thread end to tighten the ring.
  • Round 2:Ch 5, dc in first tr, (ch 1, tr in next tr) 10 times, ch 4, sl st in top of tr, (ch 1, tr in next tr) 9 times, ch 1, dc, ch 5, sl st in the magic ring.
  • Round 3:6 sc in ch-5 sp, (sc in next space, ch 3, sc in same sp) 10 times, in ch-4 loop work (2 sc, ch 3, 2 sc), (sc in next space, ch 3, sc in same sp) 10 times, 6 sc in ch-5 sp, sl st in the ring.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
