Hello, fellow crochet enthusiasts! Are you ready to add a sprinkle of cuteness to your winter crafting? Introducing the Winter Sun Motif – a delightful and easy crochet pattern that will bring joy and warmth to your holiday season!

This adorable motif is not only quick to create (just 7 rounds!) but also perfect for using up scrap yarns you have lying around. Dig into that stash and let your imagination run wild! Choose a cheerful single color for the entire motif or mix it up with different shades for each round – or even just the petals – the possibilities are endless! Picture vibrant reds and greens for a classic Christmas vibe, soft pastels for a cozy winter feel, or vibrant yellows and oranges to mimic a sunny day. The choice is yours!

The Winter Sun Motif measures about 8 cm (or about 3 inches) when made with lace weight yarn and a 2 mm hook, but don’t worry – size will vary depending on your yarn weight and hook size.

These fantastic motifs are wonderfully versatile: They make fantastic ornaments for your tree, charming decorations for a festive garland, or even cute appliqués to jazz up your holiday outfits. Want to add some flair to your home? They double as coasters too! And if you’re feeling adventurous, connect several motifs to create lovely garments or accessories that will surely turn heads.
