Little Bitty Round Doily Pattern

Create Little Bitty Round Doilies with this free crochet pattern and add texture and a splash of color to your home decor. This quick and easy project is a perfect way to use your scrap yarn. 
The doily in the photo is crocheted with a 2,5 mm hook and thread size 5. It measures 15 cm (5,9 inches) in diameter. You can change the look and size of your motif by using different yarn weights and hook sizes.
Besides your chosen yarn and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.

  • Round 1:Ch 1, 8 sc in the ring, pull the thread end to close the ring (as much as needed), join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 2:Ch 1, sc in same sc, ch 3, * sc in next sc, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 3:Ch 1, sc in same sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, * sc in next sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 4:Sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, * skip next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 5:Sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, * skip next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 6:Sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, * skip next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 7:Ch 1, sc in same sc and in next 5 sc, ch 3, * sc in next 6 sc, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 8:Sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 3 sc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, * skip next sc, sc in next 4 sc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 9:Sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next sc, (ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp) twice, ch 3, * skip next sc, sc in next 2 sc, (ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp) twice, ch 3; repeat from * 7 times, join with sl st in first sc.
  • Round 10:Sl st in next sc and in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 5, sc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from * 23 times, ch 2 and join with dc in first sc to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
  • Round 11:Ch 1, sc in same sp, * in next ch-5 sp work (dc, ch 1) 5 times, dc in same sp, sc in next ch-5 sp **, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * 7 times and from * to ** once more, ch 2 and join with dc in first sc to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
  • Round 12:Ch 1, sc in same sp, * 2 dc in next dc, (ch 3, 2 dc in next dc) 5 times, sc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.
