Instructions

Make a magic ring.

  • Round 1:Ch 5 (counts as dc and ch-2 sp), * dc in the ring, ch 2; repeat from * 5 times, pull the yarn tail to tighten the ring as much as needed, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch5. (6 dc, 6 ch-2 spaces)
  • Round 2:* 4 sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 1; repeat from * 6 times, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. (24 sc, 6 ch-1 spaces)
  • Round 3:Join new color in any ch-1 sp, ch 7 (counts as hdc and ch-5 sp), * hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 5; repeat from * 5 times, join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch7. (6 hdc, 6 ch-5 spaces)
  • Round 4:Ch 3 (counts as dc), 7 dc in next ch-5 sp, * dc in next hdc, 7 dc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * 5 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch3 and place a marker. Fasten off. (48 dc)
  • Round 5:Join new color in marked stitch, ch 7 (counts as dc and ch-4 sp), dc in same stitch, * skip next 3 dc, in next dc work (dc, ch 4, dc); repeat from * 11 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch7. (24 dc, 12 ch-4 spaces)
  • Round 6:* 6 sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 1; repeat from * around (12 times), join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. (72 sc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
  • Round 7:Join new color in any ch-1 sp, ch 9 (counts as hdc and ch-7 sp), * hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 7; repeat from * 11 times, join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch9. (12 hdc, 12 ch-7 spaces)
  • Round 8:Ch 3 (counts as dc), 9 dc in next ch-7 sp, * dc in next hdc, 9 dc in next ch-7 sp; repeat from * 11 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch3 and place a marker. Fasten off. (120 dc)
  • Round 9:Join new color in marked stitch, ch 9 (counts as dc and ch-6 sp), dc in same stitch, * skip next 4 dc, in next dc work (dc, ch 6, dc); repeat from * around (23 times), join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch9. (48 dc, 24 ch-6 spaces)
  • Round 10:Sl st in next 3 chains, sc in same sp, ch 6, * sc in next sp, ch 6; repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sc. (24 sc, 24 ch-6 spaces)
  • Round 11:* 8 sc in next ch-6 sp, in next ch-6 sp work (3 sc, ch 3 and sl st in 3rd ch from the hook – picot made, 3 sc); repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sc. (168 sc, 12 ch-3 picots)

Fasten off your work and carefully weave in all loose ends.
