CROCHET PATTERNSCrochet Flower Urania

Crochet Flower Urania

Each layer of this double layered flower is made with the instructions below. You can make flowers with as many layers as you want. The trick is to use different sizes of yarns and hooks.
Just to give you an idea of the size, the pink flower shown here is crocheted with cotton thread size 10 and a 2 mm crochet hook and it measures about 5 cm (about 2 inches) in diameter.
You will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Crochet a flower with only one layer…

or crochet two or more different sized layers and stack them one on top of the other. Sew through all the layers, fastening the whole flower together. Embellish with a bead, button or rhinestone.
The pink flower is crocheted with embroidery floss and 2 mm crochet hook. The smaller one is crocheted with thin metallic variegated thread and 1,25 mm crochet hook. The embellishment in the center is a hot glue dot, which I made and painted with nail polish.
